Through the Green Phone we received a report on the existence of a hidden base station of a telecom operator on Pag Island. The exact address is: “Stara Riva”, on the old saltworks building next to the bridge. The locals are saying that they are currently in the process of procuring a device for measuring EM fields and radiation of that type. They are warning against possibly harmful radiation and adverse impact on the health of people living near the base station.

We received the a report of the locals from Sukošan via the “Green Phone” of Eco Zadar who complained about the odour which makes it difficult to the residents to breathe, and comes from the location Golo Brdo, 2 km from the village.

For years now, all sorts of waste are deposited there which systematically threatens human health and destroys the nature. Namely, the stream flows next to that waste which eventually merges with the sea, and waste such as asbestos, oil, asphalt, stifle and similar id disposed of.

Via the green phone, namely by e-mail, Eco Zadar received the report on the devastation of natural coastline in the village of Miškovići on the island of Pag. We sent the report to the Directorate for Inspectional Affairs of the Ministry of Environment and Nature Protection, as well as to the town of Pag, Administrative Department of Public Utilities and Physical Planning. Report is registered under number 42/2015.
