Mreža Zelenih telefona

From the very beginning of the Green Phone, of all the problems that they notice in the environment citizens most commonly report problems which are directly or indirectly related to waste.

In 2016, out of a total of 2,562 reports received at the Croatian Green Phone Network, 36% is in the category of waste.

It all started 26 years ago with the idea of starting a telephone line where citizens can report problems in the environment or to make suggestions, and the on-call person transmitted the information to the competent institutions. Three years later, the idea was, under the name of Green phone, realized in Zagreb, at the Green Action association.

2707 citizens’ reports were received at the Green phones of Croatia in the period from 1st of January to 31st of December 2015.

The analysis of calls was prepared by members of the Green phone network in the framework of the project "Partnership for the environment" funded by the European Union and co-financed by the Office for Associations of the Croatian Government.

Green phones receive citizens’ reports on environmental issues from all over Croatia at the unique number of 072 123 456 for Croatia.
